Do you remember that picture of the Wicked Witch of the West (Miss Gulch) cycling in the midst of the beginnings of the Tornado? Later she appeared in the midst of the tornado at Dorothy's window screaming out her scary cackle? Then.... add in the witchy music that became her signature sound! Cycling and the Wind! URGH!
Well, the winds today in Albuquerque have reminded Cece of this scene from The Wizard of Oz! It is spring in Albuquerque and that means allergies and tremendous winds that spread dirt and pollen everywhere! Yes! Everywhere. You can look out your window and all you see is dark amber colored air because the adobe dirt has infiltrated the clean air....dirt is flying and grit can get in every open orifice! Not a pleasant picture of mostly scenic and bucolic Albuquerque...but the first time you even unexpectedly get sand your teeth or in your ears, you will stay indoors from then on in these conditions.
And so it was the Cece lamented not being on her bike on this warm, but too windy day for cyclists. She even saw a car with a bike on its carrier on top of the car and she wondered if it would blow off!
Well, good thing she still has her date with Troy Jacobson...he is so faithful! Irregardless of the weather, he appears on her DVD saying "push ,push push." some things never fail!
